OMG SO MUCH BLOGGING

I'm pretty proud of us.

You should be, too. This marks the third in three entries all written within a month or so of each other. If you are reading this, you are probably thinking: why don't these entires have much content?

Next week, on Thursday, June 17, Rob MacDonald & Stan Mir read at The Four-Faced Liar. Of course both of these dudes are excellent at poetry, which should thank them every day for being poets, but they are also generous & wise contributors to the poetry community. Rob runs the heart-thumpingly gorgeous Sixth Finch, which you should read immediately. Stan, with Ryan Eckes, is the curator of the fantastic & inclusive & enviably well-attended (yes, that's pointed. Come to more readings, you guys!) Philadelphia series, Chapter & Verse.

More blogging soon. I know you are paying rapt attention.

Meg Barboza's poems have appeared in P-Queue, Parcel, Court Green, 1913, Denver Quarterly and on Weird Deer. Her reviews have appeared in Colorado Review. She earned her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She works for the New York City Department of Education.

Ben Kopel, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, currently lives in Northampton, Massachusetts where he edits Laminated Cats Press. A graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop, he is currently continuing his education at UMass Amherst. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Conduit, Sir!, Forklift: Ohio, H_NG_M_N, Sixth Finch, Diagram, and elsewhere. Sorry ma, he forgot to take out the trash.

Home, The Reading at Chrystie Street will be hosting the sweetest reading/party 

ever (or this week, whatever).

So if you're reading this, not only are you one of only three possible readers, 

you're also invited. If you're a past reader, please get in touch with us--we 

want you! We're planning a night of music (we have a great DJ) & flash 

readings (we know some great poets). Of course there will be drinks, fun,

JodiAnn Stevenson makes her home in Bay City, Michigan where she is an Assistant Professor of writing and poetry at Delta College. She founded Binge Press, to showcase women’s work, in 2004 and 27 rue de fleures, an online journal of women’s poetries in 2005. Her first collection of poetry, The Procedure, was published in the fall of 2006 by March Street Press. Her second collection of poetry, “We, the Emperors” was a finalist in the Gertrude Press Chapbook Award in 2008. An excerpt of her “Kamikaze Death Poetry” is forthcoming in the “faux histories” issue of SPECS. Christie Ann Reynolds is a native New Yorker and a graduate of The New School MFA in Poetry program. She holds a B.A. in English from Hofstra University and a NYS Teaching Certificate from Queens College. Her poems are published or are forthcoming in Critiphoria, Sub-Lit, EOAGH, Robot Melon, My Name is Mud and Blaze Vox. She is the 2003 recipient of an Academy of American Poetry undergraduate award. Christie Ann is also the 2009 winner of The New School Chapbook Contest, chosen by Brenda Shaughnessy. Her first full-length manuscript will be published by Black Maze Books in the summer of 2010. She lives on the undetermined border of Queens and Brooklyn.
